The Legendary South African musician returns with his first album in 5 years. The project is called ‘No Borders’ and it takes you on a journey through the diverse culture, history and politics of the African continent – including songs about the impact of slavery, Fela Anikulapo-Kuti and the struggles of the women of the Congo. “Borders are artificial,” he explains. “We even have a map from 1590 in the album sleeve to show what Africa looked like in 1590.” He’s also reworked a new rootsy version of his song ‘Don’t Go Lose It Baby’.
