East London venue NT’s are pleased to announce the start of a new series which explores Brazil’s rich heritage in music. From 1970’s disco – Brazilian jazz, samba, bossanova and beyond.
Situated at the heart of Neil House you’ll find NT’s, a buzzing warehouse style cocktail bar and rooftop hideaway in Hackney. NT’s is an impressive open plan space with huge windows that look out on to east London’s railway tracks and an intimate heated roof terrace that looks out onto far reaching views of the capitals skyline making this the perfect space to transport you to the roots of Brazilian culture.
The series launched on May 26th, Bank Holiday Sunday with long time collaborator with Gilles peterson and NTS affiliate, Patrick Forge. Patrick is well known for his b2b events alongside Gilles at the infamous Dingwalls in Camden and has previously had a long standing event called A Brazilian Love Affair.
From June 2nd they’ll be running every Sunday with a live Brazilian jazz band curated by Luna Cohen who brings with her some of the capitals finest Brazilian musicians.
To top this off we’ve invited some of the capitals best DJ’s including David Conde, Norsicaa / Alice Whittington (Soundway Records), Alexis Blondin (Total Refreshment Centre), Born Cheating (Touching Bass), Danuka (So Flute) and Tim Garcia (Jazz FM/ Música Macondo) providing their own
their own interpretation of Brazilian sounds from across all spectrums.
Apart from what promises to be an amazing month of entertainment, NT’s has been refurbished with a totally new look with new additions to the soundsytem and drink menu. They had extensive work carried out on the outside area, including building a brand-new second outdoors DJ booth and patio seating area where you can relax and enjoy the sun.
Tickets are £5 OTD and more info on the event can be found here.
